Appalachian Ground is Semi-Finalist for North Street Book Prize

I’m counting this as a kind of prize; certainly as an honor. Here’s the note the editor sent:

Dear Lisa,

Before we make a public announcement, I wanted to let you know that your final rank in our 2020 contest is Semi-Finalist. I regret you did not win a cash prize, but we admired Appalachian Ground and I hope you will feel encouraged. We received 1,915 books and this one was among the top 3%.

Best regards,

Adam Cohen
