Boone, NC Locals: Come Out Tonight!

I know it’s late notice, but I hope you’ll consider coming out tonight, September 6th, to the Old Orchard Creek General Store in Lansing, NC to enjoy a drink and hear some poetry in this fine late summer weather. Event begins at 6 pm.

I’ll be reading poems from my upcoming book Shoulders Made of Birds, and you’ll also hear from Matthew Wimberley, who is the author of two collections of poetry, All the Great Territories (2020), winner of the 2018 Crab Orchard Poetry Series First Book award, and Daniel Boone’s Window (2020), winner of the Weatherford Award for Poetry from Berea College and the Appalachian Studies Association.
