This painting spent time sitting quietly in the studio while I figured out what it wanted to become. The forms remind me of algae, or some kind of floating ecosystem—green shapes suspended above deep indigo water.
Eventually, I added gold leaf details…
Over time, it became a meditation on the unseen parts of a life: the work no one notices, the gifts we continue to cultivate, and the small acts of care that quietly sustain what matters most.
Not everything essential happens where it can be seen.
