Daylily, Foxglove, and Yarrow Bouquet

I went out on the mountain to get yarrow. I had in mind to make some yarrow tea, but in the end got distracted by the daylilies in all their trumpeting glory. Then by the foxgloves running rampant in front of the horizontal hive. And by the bees themselves, swirling in and out of the hive.

As you might imagine, these things are not so terrible to be distracted by. I may have lost an hour or so this way, and it’s happened before.

Since I didn’t make yarrow tea, I thought about adding some daylily buds to my salad, but that didn’t happen either! June is absolutely packed with wild edibles, but some days, I just make a pretty bouquet to put in a whiskey bottle.

That seems to be enough for now.
