I apologize to all of you who petitioned to keep the chicken in the picture. This painting took me a record 4 days, and chickens simply don’t have time to wait around on doofuses like me.
You can see the original photo I painted from here: https://appalachianground.com/good-neighbors/
And here’s where I ended up, which I’m pretty pleased with. I learned a lot, and stretched my skills. The finished canvas is 12″x24″.
Hope you like it!
Special thanks to all of you who support and encourage me on Patreon. You make it possible for me to purchase supplies and take the time to make these paintings.
If you’d like to support me but haven’t figured out how yet, you can join my Patreon page (just go to Patreon.com and search on my name, Lisa Creech Bledsoe), and you’ll be able to choose a level of support—as low as $3/month or less. In exchange, you’ll see all the photos from the progress of each painting, plus more info about each part of the process.
This painting is now SOLD (!) but you can see it (I might have prints ready) and more of my paintings for sale at my new website Lisa Creech Bledsoe Fine Art.
Thanks again. You’re the best! (And I promise to paint a Redemption Chicken soon 😁)
