Join Me For A Live Poetry Reading!

I don’t do very many poetry readings for some reason.

Actually I KNOW why. They are challenging for me. I’m an introvert. I associate calls on Zoom with the pandemic. Reasons, reasons, whatever.

I’m doing it anyway!

I’m doing a poetry reading, on Zoom (although this is actually a hybrid event, and some people will be there live in New Bern, NC), and I’ll be the Featured Poet (capital letters!) for Nexus Poets on Tuesday, July 5th, at 7 pm EST.

Here’s the link to the event on Facebook.

Featured Poet (with capitals, ha) just means that I get to read first. For 20 minutes, they said. Whoa, 20 minutes. That sounds like a lot, but maybe it’s only like, 10 poems or so. I doubt I’ll actually manage 20 minutes.

I’m babbling.

AND (all caps) I’m inviting YOU (all caps)!

Not just because I adore you, or just so you’ll come and hear me read, but because after I read, there’s an open mic, and I’d LOVE to see your face and hear your voice and experience your poems, if you have them.

Really, really.

SO DO THIS:

  1. Click over and say you’ll come.
  2. Email nexus@nexuspoets.com so that you’re on the list and will get all the login info in advance.
  3. When you email, tell them (you’ll be emailing either Sam or Susannah) if you’d like to be on the list to read a poem. You can also do that on the actual call.

But you DO need to email, because I don’t see the Zoom info on the FB event page.

Hope to see and hear you there!
