Pears watercolor

Pears Watercolor (and Change on the Horizon)

I’ve been thinking and reading about painting with oils, but today I sat down to commemorate the three juiciest, most exquisite pears I’ve eaten this year in watercolor.

Because watercolors are what I have.

However, I have a coupon for Michaels, which means a little beginner set of oils is on my list and will come home with me soon!

In the end, I think this is a watercolor that wanted to be an oil painting. I’m happy with it. (And I still want more pears.)

By the way, if you’d like to see my “in process” photos and all the experiments, missteps, and successes of my watercolor—and soon, oil painting—journey, I hope you’ll join my Patreon!

You can choose to contribute any amount you wish; all patrons receive the same benefits. Which is ALL the benefits! (One of which is first dibs on painting purchases.)

Oil painting experiments, learnings, and photos coming SOON…
