The forecast says snow tomorrow, so this afternoon I went out and cut daffodils.
If I leave them out there, the weight of the snow will break many of the stems, so I go out with scissors and bring home armfuls of yellow before the storm arrives.
Tomorrow the mountain will be white again, but tonight the kitchen table is golden.
