I don’t know if there are many things better than speckles. Speckles, freckles, dapples; they’re all magnificent.
I worked today with a limited palette (three colors—Rose Madder, Raw Sienna, Raw Umber—plus black and white) and ended up with a lovely speckled horse. Slightly overworked, maybe, but still entirely smooch-able. 🙂
